Accessibility
Last updated 2 November 2026
We want everyone to be able to record a podcast with Vidiicast, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we’ve done
- Every button and control has a text label, including the ones that only show an icon.
- You can reach everything with a keyboard, and the focused item is always outlined.
- Pages work with screen readers, and alerts such as errors and status changes are announced.
- Text and controls meet contrast guidelines in light and dark mode, and pages reflow when you zoom to 200%.
- Animations are switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Recordings come with a timed transcript you can search, read and download as captions (SRT).
What we know isn’t right yet
- There are no live captions during a call. Transcripts arrive after the recording finishes.
- The teleprompter scrolls on its own. You can pause it, slow it down and change the text size, but it may not suit everyone.
- Recorded video doesn’t have audio description.
